Hello!  Thank you for visiting my ePortfolio.  My name is Karolynn Tom and this site highlights the work I completed as part of the Youth Development Leadership Master's Degree Program at Clemson University.  Throughout the site you will be able to learn more about me, my work, and my passions.

My personal mission is to work to encourage young people from under-represented groups to go into the sciences.  Since a young age I have enjoyed the mysteries, wonders, and challenges of the sciences.  I will forever value the support I received from my family, teachers, and other youth development professionals to explore and pursue higher education and career pathways in the sciences.  I recognize not every child and young person has the same level of support I received.  Therefore, I aim to provide encouragement to the young people I interact with to explore the possibilities and pursue their dreams!
